The next thing Lagni wants to add to his gift package is a painted deinodon hide. There's a sort of ritualistic preparation that must be done before he can start, and it begins with crafting a personalized bone knife. I must gather the materials for it, craft it, and have it blessed by the Silent Shaman. Once that's done, I can use it to skin the hide of an aged deinodon. In all of this I must respect the deinodons, even in the slaying of one.
