Extinguishing the Burning Dead - Quest

June 19, 2024 -- The new Anashti Sul server on the 2006 "Origins" EQ2 ruleset is now live. Sadly, there are no plans for it to support Census.

The ghost of High Lord William Taros has asked me to help him one last time by defeating the leader of a necromantic cult called the Burning Dead. These one-time followers of Solusek Ro have created a Necrotic Asylum in the bottom depths of the Keep of Marrsfist and are using the foul energies generated by the curse of Gynok Moltor to embolden their dark sorcery.

I must travel to the Necrotic Asylum and slay the leader of the Burning Dead, Dread Exarch Mordek.

I must slay Dread Exarch Mordek. (in Befallen: The Necrotic Asylum)

With the leader of the Burning Dead finally slain, I should return to High Lord William Taros and tell him the deed has been done.

I must speak with High Lord William Taros. (in The Commonlands)
