After the large piece of encrusted soot fell away from the dagger's blade you notice an inscription. You can only make out a few words through the rust and soot that remains. "He who wields this dagger..." is all you can read.

You repeat the words to yourself. What could this mean? The dagger seems like it can be cleaned and repaired. You feel you can repair the dagger yourself. You set out to collect a few items.

The dagger is sharp enough, possibly too sharp. It still needs leather wrapping for its hilt. Perhaps the goblin gatherers will help find some leather.
